The base plate is designed to help create a stable platform to level your sign post during the installation process. Once the hole has been excavated then the base will need to be attached to the bottom of the sign post and set in place in the hole. Once set in place, the concrete mix can be added along with any surface dressing to complete the installation process.
The base plate also helps prevent the post from being pulled from its foundation once installed.
